Zeno is a young man who lives in secret tunnels under a metro station. He has made a small home with an old couch, a rug, and a few pieces of furniture. During the day, he listens to music in the metro. At night, he returns to his hiding place underground. One night, he meets Tuur, a 13-year-old boy who has just become homeless. Tuur wants to talk, but Zeno keeps his distance. Still, Tuur stays around and follows him to his underground home. At first, Zeno tells him to leave, but later he lets him stay. They slowly become friends and start sharing their days—looking for food, taking care of themselves, and spending time in the metro. They begin to share stories from their past. Tuur talks about his family and why he ran away. Zeno remembers difficult moments from his childhood. After a while, Tuur decides to go back to the world above. Zeno stays behind, alone again. He chooses to stay underground and not return to the world outside.
