A peacock loses her feathers

Rio, a 21-year-old woman, is about to go on stage for the premiere of the play “A Peacock Loses Her Feathers.” In the ten minutes before she goes on, she takes a trip down memory lane. She struggles immensely with accepting her sexuality due to the environment in which she lives. When she falls in love with her best friend Alina, whom she met as a child during theater class, she pushes her away rather than drawing her in. But then Alina disappears from her life. Rio struggles with guilt and feels responsible. She must now step onto the stage and replace Alina in the play. She realizes that she can only truly be happy when she accepts herself.
