Memories From Ground Zero

This short documentary brings together the vivid, personal recollections of an FDNY firefighter and a CBS journalist, offering two distinct firsthand perspectives on the chaos and devastation of September 11, 2001, and its aftermath. Through raw oral history and Duffy’s unflinching, hard-edged visual style, the film creates an intimate portrait of that day: the sounds, the sights, the dust, and the memories that have endured. Without relying on narration or broad commentary, the documentary allows their experiences to reveal the human impact of the attacks, tracing deeply personal journeys through trauma, resilience, and memory.
